When it comes to betting on football, I really enjoy betting on college football futures. Each NCAA football season there are many great bets to choose from. My personal favorite is betting on the college football win totals.
Each season if you scan up and down the college football win totals list you're bound to find at least a couple of profitable wagers. You'll also find some very interesting lines. For instance, the 2008 college football win total for UNLV is 3.5, which means UNLV must win at least four games for you to win your bet. How did they come up with this line? Over the past two seasons UNLV has won a combined total of four games.
And if you look at a team, such as Georgia, which many feel is the best team in college football for 2008, their win total line is only 9. And there are 10 other schools that are above them with 9.5, 10, and 10.5 win total lines.
In fact, a team like Boise State is ahead of Georgia. Their 2008 win total line is currently 9.5. Can Boise State win 10 or more games this season?
Due to the number of colleges, there are many college football futures lines that are gifts. You'll especially find gifts among smaller schools. If you're into college football betting, I'd recommend getting to know some of the smaller schools.
Typically, bigger schools warrant more attention and therefore their lines will be very tight. It's just like during the NCAA College football season when each week games that are on TV or that featuring big colleges have very tight lines, but all other games are subject to looser lines.
Before you place another college football bet, I found a video that you should watch. It's free to watch.
